MOUSE
What is MOUSE?
MOUSE, which stands for Members of the United Students of Elementary, is the CIC Elementary School student government. The purpose of MOUSE is to:
- promote school spirit and good citizenship;
- involve students in sharing ideas to make CIC the best it can be;
- help all students work together in school;
- give students practice in democracy in action; and
- help other citizens and groups in our school community.
Representatives from each class are elected to MOUSE and from those representatives, MOUSE members elect the officers.
Each month, we try to have a Spirit Day (see pictures from some of this year’s Spirit Days), usually the last Friday of the month, in which the students dress according to the theme of the day (pajama day, twin day, etc.) and a MOUSE fundraiser, to raise money to donate to other causes and groups.
See photos of our MOUSE team in their new t-shirts below.
