President Kim of North Korea agreed to dismantle his country’s nuclear weapon program in return for diplomatic recognition and economic aid from the United States. American nuclear experts already in North Korea have started dismantling the nuclear facility.

Mr. Casey, the American State Department spokesman, did not go into details about the specific process of disablement, but we do know that groups of men have been and continue to work in two or three week rotations. US experts are expected to slowly disable the plant which has caused so much trouble to the world community.

The agreement to dismantle the plant came after many six-party negotiation meetings, in which China, the US, Japan, Russia, and the two Koreas participated.

North Korea also agreed on giving a complete declaration of its nuclear process by the end of the year.
