Hey! JMUN 2007 is Coming!
The Junior Model United Nations (JMUN) Conference is a simulation of the work that real United Nations in New York does. The real United Nations discusses, negotiates, and comes up with resolutions regarding real, peace-threatening arguments between countries. JMUN’s recreation of the real United Nations provides students with the opportunity to participate in significant world issues by becoming delegates of countries. Delegates represent the interests of their respective countries on the various UN committees. There are ten Venezuelan schools, both national and international, participating in this year’s event. From Caracas we have Colegio Simon Bolivar, Colegio Internacional de Caracas, Institutos Educacionales Asociados, Academia Washington, Colegio Jefferson, and Escuela Campo Alegre. Our out-of-towners are Colegio Internacional de Carabobo (Valencia), El Tigre, (Monagas),Colegio Internacional Puerto La Cruz, (Anzoategui) and Escuela Anaco (Anzoategui).

JMUN 2007: What’s New?
There are some changes to this year’s JMUN that you need to be aware of. The first is that we have a new Director. Ms. Natalie Jeffers takes over from Mr. Wm. Boughton. You should know that this year a new committee has been struck. It is called the Peace Building Committee, and it replaces the Disarmament Committee.
Here are the different committees for JMUN 2007:
