Alimie Torres has many hats in her work in the Library, she is in charge of the every running of the Secondary School Library. As she studied journalism and photography, gives support to Administrators and  teachers with excellent photos and designs. She is part of the Editorial Committee of the School’s newspaper The Chronicle.

I take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Alexander Hamilton and I will be the Elementary Librarian andTechnology teacher in secondary school for the 2011-2012 school year.

After graduating from High school from an international school with the IB program I enrolled myself in the world of education and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello. I was born and raised in Venezuela but being educated in an international school offered me great skills to build rapport with international students. I am positive I will be able to motivate student to foster a love for reading and for books. I realized education was my vocation when I discovered that contributing with the education of people gave meaning to my life.Even though I might be new working in a Library, over the past few years, I have worked for various Venezuelan companies and school where I have earned great experience teaching different age groups, from 1st graders to adults. I worked teaching, Science, Literature, History, English and ESOL. I also had the opportunity to teach English in companies such as TOYOTA and 3M.I want all the CIC community to feel welcome to the Library and feel free to ask any questions;
