The K-2 curriculum is diverse and stimulating. A broad scope of subjects is offered and lessons are approached in an interactive and engaging manner. Teachers aim to constantly motivate and inspire the children so that they develop a love of learning. Here at C.I.C. we respect the fact that children are individuals and we understand that as a result, they learn at different paces. In order to ensure that all children can access the curriculum at their appropriate level, the class teachers frequently monitor and evaluate progress and then differentiate lessons accordingly. In some cases children may require additional support from our Student Services department or they will be recommended for enrichment programs.

Counting, adding and subtracting too,
Lots of cool things to see, make and do!
In Grade One
the adventure picks up speed,
And you'll gradually acquire all that you need,
Strategies for improved reading and computation,
Will ensure that you don't suffer from frustration.
A world of wonder will begin to unfold,
And your natural curiosity will take a firm hold,
How and why are things as they are?
With questions like that you will go far!
Finally you've landed in Grade
Two,
And more amazing challenges are waiting for you.
Finding multiple solutions to brain bending sums,
And investigating germs that damage your gums!
A plentiful planet of knowledge waits,
For an inquisitive mind to open the gates,
Turn the key and step inside,
Make your parents swell with pride.
Your K-2 adventure will provide the foundation,
For a solid and successful education,
You'll sail into grades Three, Four and Five,
And they will keep your thirst for knowledge alive.
