The following activities will be offered for the 1st Season of After-School Activities.

Activity Descriptions:

Field Hockey (K-2 and 3-5):

Learn the fast and exciting skills of field hockey on the new field and take part in upcoming tournaments.  Special safety equipment is required-please see Coach Wilfredo for more details.

Wifredo Ortega: Tues: K-2 from 3.00pm-4.00pm; Gr3-5 from 4.00pm-5.00pm
  Wed: K-2 from 3.00pm-4.00pm; Gr3-5 from 4.00pm-5.00pm

Karate (K-5):               
Time & Day: 3:15-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays & Thursdays.-Dance Studio
Payment should be made every three months during the first week of the season.
The price is Bs. 180.000,00.
Season 1-September 11th-December 13th
Season 2-January, February and March 2006
Season 3-April, May and June 2006

About karate uniform (white karategui).  Prices will vary depending size (Bs. 70.000,00 to Bs.90.000,00) Instructors: Fouad Korban 5th dan and Karen Petit 3rd dan Black belts.

Computer Club(N-3):

The computer lab will offer students safe, quick and easy access to quality and age appropriate games on-line.  We will explore educational, fun school games, and other games at the discretion and instruction of the teacher.  Please keep in mind that students will comply with the same rules of conduct already established in the computer lab at CIC.   (N-K)Selina Ramsammy ; (1-3)Charmaine Callender : Thurs: 3.00pm-4.00pm : ES Computer Lab

Soccer (1-5)

Improve skills at passing, dribbling and shooting with Coach Canas.  This activity takes place on the field and we will be organizing inter school competitions during this quarter.  Grades 1-5 -Boys and Girls-  Jose Canas: Thurs + Fri: 3.00pm-4.30pm-Field

Spanish Drama (2-5):  
           
The objective of the Spanish Drama Club is to improve the language skills of the participants. During the sessions students develop the abilities of memorization, pronunciation, corporal expression and socialization. Grade 2-5:  Irma Oñate and Gabi González: Tues: 3.00-4.00pm- Rm. 214

Choir (1-5)

Students who choose to participate in this after school activity will learn songs that are related to musical plays and international holidays/celebrations.  The songs will be performed as part of the Elementary School's Festival of Lights. Grade 1-5: Ibsen Rosales: Wed: 3.00-5.00pm-ES Music Room

Basketball (1-5)

Improve basketball skills and have fun trying to be Michael Jordan! Grades 1-5: Wilfredo Ortega: Mon (Gr. 1-3) 3.00-4.00pm (Gr. 4-5) 4.00-5.00pm: Undercover Court
