Conociendo a Venezuela

 

As a complementary part of the curriculum, every Wednesday morning the Spanish Department at the Elementary Level has presentations related to the Venezuelan culture. Students, parents, teachers and staff are highly involved in all activities; they participate by performing, presenting, narrating, reciting, dancing, singing and trying out some food! The purpose is that everyone uses the language, but also, promoting our host country.

Venezuelan holidays are observed during the year; usually, students prepare special activities for these days to show national pride. Since the curriculum is based on a multicultural point of view, some other activities about Latin American countries are presented, that way, students share, respect and learn about other cultures.
