For New Band Students and Parents

Welcome to CIC! The Members, Parents and Director of the CIC Bands invite you to join our organization. If you have played an instument for at least one year, you may continue on that instrument at CIC. If you have not learned an instrument in the past, Mr. Stewart will help you choose a wind instrument that will be right for you.  If you are in Sixth Grade, you will take Beginning Band class; if you are in Seventh or Eighth Grade you will be placed in Intermediate Band class; if you are in Ninth or Tenth Grade you may audition to join the Advanced Band; and Eleventh or Twelfth Grade students may elect to take I.B. Music class.

To join the Band you will need to fill out two forms, which takes about five minutes.  The Information Sheet collects contact information about parents and the student's previous musical experience (if any). The Info Sheet may be submitted by e-mail. The Instrument Contract allows the student to borrow an instrument from the school for the whole school year. The Contract must be printed, signed and dated, and sent in hard copy to Mr. Stewart. These files can be viewed with Adobe Reader.
