ABANSA (Asociación Benefactora al Niño sin Asistencia)
AyA has been working with ABANSA for about 20 years since the foundation of this club. This association has three houses in Sebucan (Caracas), Catia (Caracas), and in Valencia , and the director of this association is known as "Mama Sharon". CIC faculties provide the students in this orphanage the scholarships.
Casa Hogar Belen & Casa Hogar Niño Jesus
These two Catholic orphanages are located in La Union Bosques de la Lagunita in Caracas. They have total of 35 children; 19 girls and 16 boys, mainly from 0 to 16 years old. These orphanages are directed by Hermana Ermentina. AyA has been working with these orphanages for approximately 7 years.
Casa Hogar Bosque el Divino
Niño
AyA has been working with this orphanage for several years. It is an orphanage attached to a church, with about 24 girls in the age group of 3 to 16 years. It is located in La Rinconada and run by Padre Vicente, the leader of Funda Samaritano.
Currently, AyA also started to cooperate with Casa Hogar Padre Pio, attached to Casa Hogar Bosque el Divino Nino. It is an old people's home, consisting of 10 ladies. One of the first activities with these ladies were Origami classes. Up to this, AyA also provides them with food and other items.
Casa Hogar Nuestra Señora de Guanalupe
This orphanage can be considered as a very unique one. A family adopted 9 girls and provided them with shelter and education. Additionally they provided them with musical (piano) education, making them professional pianists. They had concerts not only in Venezuela but also in other countries. AyA work with them for 4 years by annually making a Concert Café in CIC and thus fund-raising them to help them with their activities.
Casa Hogar Bambi is an orphanage for boys and girls younger than eight years. Currently, more than 50 children live in this facility. It is located in Antimano. Through 7 years of cooperation, the AyA members have visited the orphanage through AyA trips and planned several fund-raising activities.
AyA has been working with Ninos de la Luz for 3 years. This Catholic orphanage is located in Filas de Mariche, and supports children of the age group of about 4 to 5. It is ran by American missionaries. AyA has helped them in many ways by creating a chicken cup and improving of the infrastructure around the area (e.g. road) and inside such as basketball court.
Hacienda Campo Amor is a farm that supplies food and shelters for the people living in poverty, in the barrios in of Guantire in Estado Miranda. It is run by Ms. Gabriela Leonhart, who was also a mother of a CIC students. Through AyA, many people supported this facility by donation for more than 7 years. AyA has provided them with food, toys, school supplies, money and other donations.
Colegio Luisa Caceres de A . is a large boarding school (orphanage and school together) which supports more than 100 girls from 5 to 16 years old. This school has a long-lasting relationship with AyA club and CIC. They were often invited to the Clash of Colors and Jazz Concerts.
Niñas Madres is an organization that gives support to the teenage mothers who live in poverty. It provides workshop and educational opportunities to young pregnant women in order to help them take care of their babies and to become responsible independent mothers. Every year, about 25 baby baskets are prepared by the members and are given to the mothers. This event is called "Baby Baskets."
AyA has been working with this orphanage for 4 years. It is inhabited by boys of 5-14 age groups. It is located in Petare, and has a soccer and basketball court. We often invited the orphans to CIC for special occasions but also have been having trips to their place.
